The shoelace site is great, I'm very pleased to find out that I can use whipping to create aglets. Maybe that was an obvious solution but Columbus' egg, I somehow hadn't thought of it when searching for biodegradable aglet options. Instead I bought laces with metal aglets which probably can't be reused once the laces (inevitably) break.
